The University of Toronto is home to one of the largest genomics, proteomics, systems biology and computational biology research communities in the world, all situated at the heart of the exciting cosmopolitan city of Toronto. The goal of these research activities is to gain deeper insight into the biology of cancer and other diseases, stem cells, protein structure, plant stress biology, and host-pathogen interactions. The Frey Lab develops techniques that use large scale datasets to derive predictive models of how genes and many other genomic features act in combination to produce genetic messages that control cellular activities.
